Service Description: This layer displays the bencmarks from the City of Evanston's survey control network. The benchmarks were evaluated in Fall 2018 and new benchmarks were added where necessary to densify the overall control network. Horizontal coordinates are reported in NAD 83 (2011) Illinois State Plane East Zone. Evanston Datum Plane: 579.70 feet above mean tide of New York (Dec. 17, 1959) or approximately 578.98 feet above NAVD88.
